We’re back with your weekly BUWCS update! Over the long weekend, it was another rainy day in Boston. Sunday night BUWCS took on Northeastern in an intense league game. Our visitors started off strong setting the tempo of the match which was fast and slippery. Ending the first half, Northeastern found the back of the net, but keeper Isabella Jimenez (’20) was able to maintain the score to just one with her amazing agility and sense for the ball. By the second half, BUWCS began to find their rhythm together combining more passes and playing strong defense. Four minutes before the end of the game, Abi Ewen (’22) crossed a beauty into Northeastern’s 18 box which deflected off a Northeastern defender into the back of their net. Steph Wilczynski (’20) was able to end the game in a tie with phenomenal goaltending saving a goal by a fraction of a centimeter before it crossed the line! Final score, 1-1. #wereadramaticteam
