The girls opened up the spring season tonight with a 7-1 victory over MIT on Nickerson field. In cold temperatures but high spirits, they dominated from the start, while trying out new formations and positions. Oriana Durand (’17) started the first half with a hat trick, as the girls found their offensive rhythm and the back of the net.
The second half was filled with more goals and strong possession. Alexa Cambi (’17) hit three beautiful strikes to mark her hat trick, while Ruby Dombek (’18) found the back of the net in the last minute following an MIT goal.
Strong performances all around and a promising start to the season as the girls get ready to take on Uconn and Providence next weekend!
